Our social media theme this week is the importance of breathing hard to improve your health. Yes, as you may have guessed, we’ve already gotten a few interesting and funny comments. But it’s true. Breathing hard, whether from running a marathon, chasing after your kids, walking your dog, laughing, gardening, and yes, making love, is very important to your health.

Breathing hard flushes old cells out of your body and helps accelerate the process of creating new cells throughout your body. Breathing hard releases endorphins. Oxygen filled blood moves through your heart and vital organs. Breathing hard helps you sweat. All of it is very good stuff indeed.

So, be good to yourself. Set aside some time every week to breathe hard. If you don’t feel like you have the time, here’s a simple routine: do 20 squats and 20 push-ups once in the morning, at lunch and before your go to bed. However you choose to do it, breathing hard is good for your body. What’s your favorite thing to get you breathing?
